1/31/2020 Parent Update


B. Gale Wilson Parent Update 1/31/2020:
All parents
Dear B. GaLe Wilson Parents and/or Guardians - We wanted to let you know that the 2018-19, published in 2019-20, School Accountability Report Cards, otherwise known as SARCs, are available on our school website. They can be accessed by visiting the FSUSD.org website and selecting our school site under "Our Schools". The current SARC can be found by clicking on the School Report Card icon. Hard copies are also available at the school office upon request.
  1. Here is our new video on perseverance. 
  2. Below is the link to our Teacher Shout Out. If you or child would like to give a shout out to a teacher, please fill out the Google Form and we will give the shout out to their teacher:  
Middle School Parents
  1. Middle school parents, we are hosting a parent night on February 26th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Please click on the Parent Night link to fill out the google form on stations that you would like to have. Parent Night.
  2. All middle school students have a challenge from the administration. We challenged all students to have no missing assignments from January 21st through February 7th. 
Elementary School Parents
  1. Progress reports for the second trimester are due on January 31st.
  2. Students will start taking the District Assessments in math and reading on Monday.
  3. During our ELAC meeting we discussed attendance and MAP testing. We need to make sure that all students are present to take the test. Also we discussed the moving of the Dual Immersion Program to Sullivan School starting in the 2021-2022 school year. The Dual Immersion Program at Sullivan will be TK to 5th grade. Then the students would come to B. Gale Wilson for 6th grade to 8th grade.  There will be more information in the near future.

Gale Wilson – Les quería dejar saber que los reportes escolares de rendición de cuentas (SARC, por sus siglas en inglés) del 2018-19, publicados en el 2019-20, están ya disponibles en el sitio web de la escuela. Para tener acceso a los reportes, puede visitar el sitio web FSUSD.org y seleccione nuestro plantel escolar bajo “Nuestras Escuelas”. Puede encontrar los reportes (SARC) actuales al seleccionar el icono llamado “School Report Card”. Si desea tener una copia impresa, puede solicitarla en la oficina de la escuela. 

Los padres de Middle School
  1. Padres de la escuela intermedia, organizamos una noche de padres el 26 de febrero de 5:00 a 7:00 PM. Haga clic en el enlace Noche de Padres para completar el formulario de Google en las estaciones que le gustaría tener. Noche de padres.
  1. Todos los estudiantes de secundaria tienen un desafío de la administración. Desafiamos a todos los estudiantes a no tener tareas faltantes desde el 21 de enero hasta el 7 de febrero.



Los padres de elemental 
  • Los informes de progreso para el segundo trimestre deben presentarse el 31 de enero.
  • Los estudiantes comenzarán a tomar las evaluaciones del distrito en matemáticas y lectura el lunes.
  • Durante nuestra reunión de ELAC discutimos la asistencia y las pruebas de MAP. Necesitamos asegurarnos de que todos los estudiantes estén presentes para tomar el examen. También discutimos el traslado del Programa de Inmersión Dual a la Escuela Sullivan a partir del año escolar 2021-2022. El Programa de Inmersión Dual en Sullivan será de TK a 5to grado. Luego los estudiantes vendrían a B. Gale Wilson para los grados sexto a octavo. Habrá más información en el futuro cercano.

1/24/2020 Parent update

All parents
  1. Please make sure that your child is charging his or her chromebook each night. They use their chromebook everyday.
  2. Grades are now posted on Aeries to view the first semester grades. If  you have questions or need help logging on to view, please email Kaitlynp@fsusd.org. 
  3. We have an ELAC meeting in the library on Thursday, January 30, 2020. The Dual Immersion move will be discussed.
  4. Here is our new video on goal setting. 
  5. Below is the link to our Teacher Shout Out. If you or child would like to give a shout out to a teacher, please fill out the Google Form and we will give the shout out to their teacher:

  1. Welcome back from Winter break. It has been wonderful to have the students back. 
  2. If you are interested in being a crossing guard, please contact Anjelica at anjelicaa@fsusd.org . We can have our District person come out to train you one on one. 
  3. Just reminder that staff parking lot is for staff parking. Please park up in the upper parking lot.

  2. This is a reminder on January 17th, we are celebrating the students who have perfect attendance from January 7th to the 16th. All students who have perfect attendance will be able to duct tape Mr. Nelson on the wall. Mr. Nelson will stay on the wall the entire time students are in the cafeteria.

  2. Este es un recordatorio el 17 de enero, estamos celebrando a los estudiantes que tienen asistencia perfecta del 7 al 16 de enero. Todos los estudiantes que tengan asistencia perfecta podrán pegar con cinta adhesiva al Sr. Nelson en la pared. El Sr. Nelson permanecerá en la pared todo el tiempo que los estudiantes estén en la cafetería.
